Copper Rod
Cathodic copper rod (ETP)
SunRod copper wire is produced from high purity cathode; this means that no recycled materials or impurities are involved in the production process. Sun Rod copper wires are produced in such a way that their mechanical and electrical properties are completely uniform throughout the coil. This uniformity in structure and conductivity is the result of careful control of the raw materials and the engineered production process; this is what sets SunRod apart from other manufacturers.
At each stage of production, rigorous tests are carried out to ensure that the final product is of the highest standard in terms of purity, conductivity, annealing and formability.
Technical specifications:
- High and stable electrical conductivity
- Able to stretch to small diameters without tearing
- High surface quality, free of burrs, discoloration and corrosion
- Manufactured under the continuous supervision of the quality control team
With careful attention to technical details and the use of advanced equipment, SunRod wire is a reliable choice for manufacturers who require uninterrupted quality.
Technical specifications of copper rod
Copper is a metal that can be combined with other metals to form alloys, but in many applications, including ETP copper wire, it is used in its pure form.

Copper rod production process at SunRod
- Melting in the melting furnace The cathodes are heated in the melting furnace until they become molten.
- Holding the molten metal in the holding furnace The molten metal is transferred through a dedicated channel into the holding furnace, where it is kept under controlled conditions to ensure temperature uniformity and prevent thermal fluctuations.
- Casting and billet production Next, the prepared molten metal enters the casting machine, and billets are produced through the casting process.
- Billet preparation in the shaving machine The cast billets are passed through the shaving machine to remove surface impurities and prepare them for rolling.
- Rolling billets and wire rod production At this stage, the prepared billets enter the rolling unit, where through multiple stages of compression and drawing, they are transformed into wire rod with the desired diameter.
- Wire rod cooling in the quenching system The wire rod exiting the rolling unit is cooled by the quenching system to preserve its mechanical and structural properties.
- Packing in the coiler machine The cooled wire rod is directed into the coiler machine and packed into regular coils.
